Preview: Edit text

Text display
Textfiles,"txt", "rtf" and textclips are shown within Informator and can be edited.

Shown text amount
Within the prefs you can chose how much text should be loaded into the preview section on the first click. Taking the whole text (chosen "-1") of huge documents could lead to a delay.
Text which is not loaded as a whole can be completed with a click onto the little green rectangle on the left edge of the preview section header (This symbol is only shown, when text is not loaded completely)

Edit text and save it
A text can be edited in the Preview window. To do this you can activate the text toolbar on top of the preview section:

font menu,
B
: bold
I: italic
U: underline
O: outline
: save changes
: find and replace if wanted
: extended
: condensed
: textcolor
: Alignment: left, centered, right.
: Change letters:
Versal: All letters are changed to uppercase
Title: The first letter of every word is changed
to uppercase
Small: All letters are changed to lowercase
: Margin, white space while printing
: Page setup for printing
: Print.

To view longer texts the Preview window can be dragged from the main window and the size adjusted to your liking.

Display of "Raw" text
You can view the contents of text files created by applications which are not installed on your computer: activate the option "Display raw text" in the "Preview" area in the list of preferences and drag the file into the list underneath the checkbox. Then you will see in the Preview area the file contents diplayed as text. Most of the time you will notice a few cryptic characters but in this way you're able to view contents of for example Microsoft Word documents without having Microsoft Word
® installed on your computer.

"Styled" text
For classic "TEXT" files you can choose with "Display" in the list of preferences if the text shown in the Preview area should be "styled" (meaning: with text displays like "bold" or 24 pt size etc.) or if it should only show the text.
If you have deactivated the "style" function the style attributes are not changed while changing the text.
