The full featured version will give you the ability to acquire free balls, shoot lasers, warp levels and play bonus levels. There are a few surprises too!

I hope you enjoy MacBrickout. It's the result of over 4,000 hours of work spread out over the course of several years.

* How To Play *

Knock all of the bricks out using the ball and the paddle. Don't let the ball land in the sand. When all of the bricks are gone, the level is completed and you move on to the next level. The object of the game is to try to survive long enough to complete the very last level.

Bubbles -- All they do is get in the way. You get 50 points every time one pops.

Capsules -- These occasionally fall when a brick disappears. Catch them with your paddle and see what prize you get. Some capsules are good and some are bad and after playing a few games, you'll be able to determine which are which. Some capsules require the use of the mouse or trackball button.

To pause the game, hit the space bar.

* Tips *

There is a beginner mode in the options menu. This slows the ball down a little bit and the scoring is reduced by half.

Every time a brick disappears or a ball hits the paddle, the ball will speed up slightly. Try to aim the ball so that it hits as many bricks as possible before returning to the paddle. Otherwise the ball speed may be overwhelming towards the end of a level.

Hitting multiple bricks with the ball increases the multiplier. When a ball hits the paddle, the score is calculated based on the accumulated multiplier, then the multiplier is reset to 0. Getting high multiplier values will yield very high scores.

Keep your mouse or trackball clean! Playing this game with a dirty controller can be very frustrating!

If you can finish a level without letting any bubbles touch the sand, you'll get a special "clean sand" bonus.
