Creating Your First Document
Create a new document by going to File > New, pressing COMMAND + N or using a previously open window. It's that easy.

Create a new document by going to File > New, pressing COMMAND + N or using a previously open window. It's that easy.
Save your new document by going to File > Save or pressing COMMAND + S. Choose the desired file format from the drop-down menu and click Save.
Save your new document by going to File > Save or pressing COMMAND + S. Choose "Any Format" from the drop-down menu (should be default), type in the desired extension (e.g. .xhtml) and click Save.
Did you know you can customize the edit window? Simply go to NovoEdit > Preferences... or press COMMAND + , . You can change the font, size, color and even style of the text. Since this is done using bindings, NovoEdit leaves everything pure plain text.
